In addition to lack of intention, subtraction is also about lack of direction. Approaching an artistic goal is based on intermediate steps, sketches, intentions and a corresponding approach. The goal nourishes the path. If this goal disappears, the path becomes a playing field of spontaneity, impulse and yielding to artistic desire.
